System Startup

When spring time arrives you can schedule a system startup. One of our team members will come out, turn on your system and make sure each zone and head is working and properly aligned. If winter or a snowplow wasn’t kind to a particular part of your system, we’ll make all necessary repairs to make sure your lawn and garden is getting the water it needs.

RPZ Certification

Since the soil in your landscape contains organic matter, microbes, fertilizers and other potentially harmful chemicals, the EPA has mandated that all irrigation systems be equipped with an RPZ device.  This device prevents the water in your sprinkler system from mixing with the water in your house and with the city’s main water line. Illinois law requires that the RPZ on your irrigation system, pool, boiler, etc. is tested annually by a CCCDI licensed plumber to ensure that it is working properly.  This test is mandatory – not optional.  Advanced Sprinkler Systems, Inc. has licensed professionals on staff who can test, certify and service your RPZ for you.

Mid-Season Check

At the peak of summer, you want your lawn and garden to be getting all the water it needs. Since plants are much taller at mid-season than they are when we start your system up, there may be a need to make adjustments to ensure proper coverage. Our mid-season adjustments will ensure all heads and nozzles are properly located and aligned and watering your landscape efficiently.

Shutdown & Winterization

Cracked pipes, frozen waterlines – winter can wreak havoc on a system if not properly winterized. Schedule your system’s shutdown and winterization and one of our team members will come out between October 1st and Thanksgiving to shutoff the water to your system and evacuate any lingering water from your main and lateral lines. Please schedule your winterization early to minimize the chance of freeze damage.
